It was recently announced that the annual Hockey For Hospice tournament has pledged a donation of $4,500.00 of the tournament proceeds to Ronald McDonald House Windsor. The funds have been pledged to “refresh” Room #3 at the home. The renovations will expand the room from two beds to four. This expansion will allow so many more Windsor families to stay at Ronald McDonald house to be near their children when they need them most.
Ronald McDonald Houses provide families of sick children with a home to stay at while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital. As well, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a comfortable place for families to rest and recharge, right inside hospitals. So families can stay together and kids can heal better.
Hockey for Hospice also donated to the Miracle League of Amherstburg and was able to help them install a new swing for all to enjoy!
